Methodist University is seeking to hire a Director of Student Activities for its new School of Medicine in in Fayetteville, NC. The Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine (MU CFVH) is a LCME preliminarily accredited program, with a starting date in July 2026 for its inaugural class. Our mission is to prepare our graduates to be socially accountable, community-engaged, evidence-based, compassionate, equity-focused physician leaders who will contribute to mitigating health disparities and improving health outcomes in southeastern NC or wherever they may practice. The position reports to Senior Associate Dean for Student Experience through Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Interested applicants should apply through the Methodist University website. Key Responsibilities: The Director of Student Activities provides strategic leadership, oversight, and implementation of co-curricular and extracurricular programming that supports the academic, professional, and personal development of medical students. This role is responsible for cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, and mission-aligned student life experience that enhances student engagement, leadership development, wellness, community service, and professional identity formation within a rigorous medical education environment. The Director collaborates closely with the Senior Associate Dean for Student Experience, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, students, faculty, staff, and institutional partners to ensure student activities align with institutional values, accreditation standards (LCME), and the overall educational mission of the medical school.
