About The Position

As the Director of Student Accessibility Services at Clark University, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development, implementation, and strategic growth of the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) department. This position is designed for a forward-thinking leader who is committed to providing guidance, expertise, empathy, and quality service to a unique student population. You will be independently responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to FERPA, ADA, Section 504, Title IX, and the Higher Education Act. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a campus-wide culture of integration and equity, ensuring that all students have the support they need to thrive. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the Office of Student Accessibility Services, which includes managing a dedicated team of professionals and ensuring that the office operates efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for daily operations, including the management of two full-time staff members, budget oversight, and the ongoing process of student intake and accommodation assignment. Your duties will also involve ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive records, advising and training faculty and staff on best practices for accessibility, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance relationships and grow partnerships across the university. The Director will also be involved in the administration of the Strategic Learning Services program and will work closely with the associate director to ensure that the program meets the needs of students. This highly visible role requires interaction with a wide range of university constituencies and the surrounding community, making it essential to forge meaningful relationships and build trust with various stakeholders. You will be expected to create a positive organizational culture within the office, promote efficiency and courtesy throughout the university community, and remain cognizant of the university's mission and identity, particularly in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
