About The Position

The position involves directing performance improvement and innovation activities across various strategic business units (SBUs) at VNSNY. The role includes project management, overseeing special projects, and guiding departmental staff to enhance quality and compliance. The individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic objectives and performance targets, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of seven years of project management and process improvement experience, including at least three years in a management role required.
  • Thorough knowledge of performance improvement and lean process improvement principles required.
  • Strong knowledge of workflow and organizational analysis techniques required.
  • Excellent leadership and project-planning skills required.
  • Proficient financial, analytical, and quantitative skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including MS applications required.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop trusting relationships with VNSNY senior leadership and act as a resource for improvement initiative design and implementation.
  • Oversee the work of project teams to ensure effective implementation of process improvements and outcomes measures.
  • Participate in Enterprise strategic planning by providing analyses on organizational quality and productivity initiatives.
  • Work with senior leadership to develop plans for quality/productivity improvement goals and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Drive innovative approaches to health care delivery through impact analysis and project management.
  • Provide oversight in defining project scope, developing project plans, and ensuring project momentum.
  • Monitor results against performance targets and provide recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service through prompt responses to internal and external customers.
  • Direct the creation and delivery of presentations on project status to senior leadership.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Perform all duties inherent in a senior managerial role, including staff training and budget adherence.
