About The Position

The Director of Strategy & National Accounts, BSI identifies and pursues new business opportunities in the building science and infrastructure service line nationwide, cultivates new relationships with clients, and leads strategic pursuits for building sciences and infrastructure contracts. Responsibilities Directs the development and execution of strategies to identify, qualify and convert opportunities that create long-term client relationships. Oversee company-wide activities and initiatives relating to improving strategic client development for the BSI service line nation-wide. Collaborate with subsidiary BSI Directors to build strategy and capture key opportunities. Build and manage a National Accounts portfolio of up to $50M Group Sales ($10M-20M managed directly). Seek, initiate, and drive new business opportunities, including market segments and service offerings. Hire and manage support staff, as needed. Lead Capture Team Process for high opportunity accounts, engaging resources across ECS. Mentor NAM's and NPL's as Corporate Sponsor and/or assigned. Work with the Executive Director to build a consistent national sales process and consistency among offices. Provide strategic leadership and information on market trends and long-term growth opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, business, marketing or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 10+ years of direct National Account Management experience within ECS's areas of expertise and broad knowledge and understanding of our primary service lines (geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and facilities consulting).
  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Proven track record in developing high-impact client relationships.
  • Ability to drive strategic growth across BSI markets.
  • Significant National Account Management (NAM) experience and a targeted business development mindset
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with negotiating contractual terms and management of the corresponding risk, working with corporate counsel per policies
  • Demonstrated experience with building business plans for new client and service line pursuits
  • Strong presentation skills, both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication, client service, and relationship building skills
