About The Position

The Director of Strategy and Analytics collaborates with leadership to develop and lead strategy across the organization, supporting and balancing CRNA’s short- and long-term goals. This position is responsible for translating goals across departments and business units to provide transparency for those carrying out the company’s strategy. This position requires a “systems thinking” approach and a deep understanding of healthcare data as typically obtained by broad clinical or health operations experience and/or education.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle
  • Strong autonomy in executing tasks.
  • Understanding of healthcare, clinical, and claims data and its application to the current healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare markets, industry trends, and payer landscapes.
  • Project management skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite, business case development, and data analysis methodology/tools, such as, SQL, Power Query/BI, Tableau.
  • Strong initiative, emotional intelligence, and collaborative capabilities.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Demonstrates resilience in confronting obstacles, maintaining dedication to CRNA’s Promise Statement and supporting patient-driven care.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or nursing, or other related background.
  • Ten years of clinical or healthcare operations experience required.

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or nursing.
  • Minimum of six years managing clinical or healthcare operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Healthcare Strategy and Analytics Collaborates with the clinical team and medical director for the development of clinical and operational data collection, analysis, and reporting that provides performance transparency, supports decision making, and allows executive management to meet the mission and strategic priorities of the organization.
  • Develops actionable objectives for each strategy goal to drive measurable results, evaluating current processes to ensure the success of objectives.
  • Ensures metrics are in place for each department to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals, tracking and communicating progress against strategic plan.
  • Business Development Performs/obtains market research, community and organizational assessments to support strategy planning and service line development.
  • Responsible for assessing whether initiatives are in line with the company’s objectives; uses data and business case development to support these recommendations to executive team.
  • Assesses grant opportunities for mission alignment and organization capability to implement.
  • Responsible for managing grant writer contracts.
  • Using standard project management methodology and reporting for business development projects at the direction of the CEO to include projects for masterplan, strategic plan, and Rural Health Transformation Program.
  • Develop an understanding of IHS funding allocations and the current state of the IHS/CRNA joint venture agreement in support of CEO decision making.
  • Collaborates with CFO to facilitate CRNA participation in BIA and IHS 105(l) lease programs.
  • Stays abreast of emerging technology, healthcare delivery models, and payer trends by society affiliations, publications, and conferences.
