Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Developmental Disabilities, the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Performance drives the planning, execution, and measurement of divisional and agency-wide strategic priorities. This role provides centralized leadership for initiatives that advance program effectiveness, operational excellence, and organizational impact. The Director is accountable for translating strategy into action by setting assisting the SVP to set priorities, align interdisciplinary teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring initiatives deliver measurable outcomes aligned with The New York Foundling’s mission and values. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, human services, or Developmental Disabilities services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and performance improvement programs.
  • Strong background in data analytics, dashboard development, and KPI management
  • Strategic thinking and systems-level problem solving.
  • Executive communication and presentation skills
  • Project management expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of divisional strategic initiatives by project managing coordinated efforts to operationalize management’s vision to ensure alignment with organizational goal and long-range planning objectives.
  • Ensures the successful execution and measurable impact of strategic initiatives across the division by maintaining visibility into all initiatives, monitoring project and program deliverables, assessing their impact on strategic priorities and establishing outcomes-focused measure and indicators to track progress and inform leadership.
  • Leads comprehensive strategic planning and execution by directing cross-departmental resources, managing communication and change efforts, maintains strategic planning tools and documentation to ensure the planning and execution of strategic initiatives across the division.
  • Supports data-driven execution of strategic initiatives by collecting and analyzing relevant information, monitoring assessment during implementation, and summarizing data for leadership to ensure that divisional initiatives are implemented.
  • Delivers strategic projects on time and within scope.
  • Develops project charters, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develops real-time dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership to utilize based on data drive analysis.
