About The Position

The Director of Strategic Finance is responsible for leading the organization’s financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support functions. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive data-informed decisions, optimize financial performance, and support long-term growth initiatives. The position combines financial modeling, business analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to evaluate opportunities, mitigate risks, and enhance organizational value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate FP&A
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making and strategic initiatives
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in high-growth or multi-entity organizations
  • Background in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, or strategic planning
  • Experience implementing or optimizing financial systems and reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, investments, and operational decisions
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership based on financial and operational data
  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and drive accountability to financial targets
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, valuation modeling, and post-integration financial tracking (if applicable)
  • Design and implement KPI frameworks and dashboards to monitor organizational performance
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess business risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present financial reports, board materials, and executive-level presentations
  • Ensure data integrity and improve financial reporting processes, systems, and tools
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Lead by example, guiding leaders and teams toward strategic goals and fostering professional growth
