About The Position

The Director of Strategic Alliances at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is responsible for directing the development, production, and delivery of strategic alliance and practice innovation programs. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including strategic partners, funders, and GSA members, to enhance outreach and relationship management in support of GSA's mission and strategic goals. The successful candidate will drive growth and develop new opportunities for the Strategic Alliances division, focusing on building critical relationships and managing key alliances.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of related experience in an Association environment.
  • Ability to build strong strategic relationships and cultivate senior-level connections.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget and financial management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with self-direction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in gerontology and understanding of vaccines.
  • Industry connections related to gerontology.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and management of key relationships and alliances.
  • Conduct outreach, communications, and strategy development for partnerships.
  • Submit grants and manage financial reconciliations related to alliances.
  • Represent GSA at strategic partner meetings and professional conferences.
  • Maintain proficiency in gerontology and the competitive landscape.
  • Direct the development of grant-supported programming in collaboration with consultants and key opinion leaders.
  • Conduct research and analyses to produce summaries and facilitate practice innovation.
  • Contribute to content and material development for strategic partners.
  • Direct cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Coordinate engagement across the Strategic Alliances team and serve as a liaison interdepartmentally.
  • Maintain strategic alliance content on GSA's learning management system and website.
  • Manage department planning and administrative processes.
