Role Overview Summary/Objective: This role oversees new contract start-up and integration activity at the enterprise-level, ensuring strategic alignment, cross-functional coordination, and readiness for anesthesia services on Day 1. The successful candidate will be proactive, comfortable pivoting between strategy and hands-on execution, as the function matures and scales at the organization. This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment. Work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions. Essential Functions: Project management Independently design and drive project plans for each start-up, with an eye to stakeholder buy-in, communication, and efficiency Personally manage project activities, including meeting coordination and agendas, follow-up notes, communication plans, deliverable creation, and project updates to stakeholders Manage external client communication and stakeholder management from Business Development hand-off to go-live Identify barriers and risks to success; independently mitigate them as appropriate, and escalate to the executive team as needed Create and execute on risk-mitigation strategies and/or facilitate changes in strategy when barriers arise Create systems to monitor and evolve business processes to scale the start-up function across the enterprise Accountable for results Accountable for the operational and clinical success of start-ups and go-lives Ensure anesthesia services are transitioned safely and effectively to NorthStar on day one Accountable for clear executive and internal communication, as well as risk escalation/mitigation Accountable for managing client expectations throughout the start-up period Codify Processes Build on and refine existing project planning and project management tools for the start-up process Make recommendations to individual departments and functions on process enhancements, communication strategy, project management tools and deliverable(s) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Executive presence and ability to bring a consultative approach to client interactions Demonstrated project management skills with ability to lead complex initiatives independently Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions Experience in healthcare, practice management, or anesthesia strongly preferred Advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular Microsoft PPT; ability to learn company-specific systems quickly Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Orientation toward continuous improvement and adaptability Friendly and professional demeanor PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders (e.g., external and internal executives, front-line clinicians, and corporate teams) Ability to think creatively and be highly driven, self-motivated, and highly organized Ability to complete recurring reports, write business reports, compose memos/letters, write reports, summaries or work/projects Ability to create and deliver presentations to clients, staff and others The ability to maintain confidentiality in business interactions for improper disclosure would be contrary to professional ethics and would likely cause serious organizational conflict Competencies: Organizational and planning skills Communication skills both verbal and written Change management Strategic thinking Initiative Teamwork orientation Attention to detail and accuracy Problem solving/analysis Adaptability Time management Qualifications NorthStar Anesthesia is a company of caregivers, founded by an anesthesiologist and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
