The position involves receiving and following schedules and instructions from supervisors, as outlined in established policies and procedures. The role includes assisting in organizing the orientation of new employees according to regulations, which encompasses the philosophy and objectives of care, resident rights, safety, infection control, and the policies and procedures of the facility. The individual will assist the Director of Staff Development (DSD) in scheduling and organizing in-service education programs, maintaining required records, and ensuring timely scheduling of in-services. The position also requires maintaining current records of orientation and in-service attendance for each employee, coordinating safety programs, and documenting required fire/internal disaster drills. The employee must promote good public relations, maintain supplies inventory, assist with HR and payroll duties, and participate in facility surveys. The role requires developing a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and assisting in recording incidents/accidents while adhering to confidentiality regarding resident health information.
