The Director of Software Engineering for Windows Drivers will lead the Windows Drivers team, overseeing the full life cycle of software solutions within the Windows Drivers ecosystem. This role requires a strong technical background in Microsoft Windows OS, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to execute a product-oriented strategy in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Seattle, US, and offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative and driven team to achieve optimal outcomes for Arm.

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for all Windows development activities related to a Windows Platform/SoC.
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team embedding a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of Windows-based software products.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in software development, resolve technical challenges and drive platform efficiency.
  • Implement standard methodologies and optimize software development processes to enhance team efficiency, improve product quality, and accelerate delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks ensuring robust security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large software development teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system, APIs, development frameworks, and associated toolchains.
  • Experience in device driver development, including WHQL Certification.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, C#, .NET and other Windows technologies.
  • Experience in security, performance tuning, system architecture, releasing and maintenance with Windows.
  • Experience of the wider AI ecosystem, Microsoft's and others.
  • Familiarity with ARM architecture and software ecosystems.
  • Experience with leading software/firmware teams delivering end products to market.
  • Competitive salary range of $273,020-$369,380 per year.
