About The Position

The Director of Security Operations at MGM Resorts International is responsible for overseeing all security functions to ensure the safety and protection of employees and guests. This role involves managing day-to-day security operations, coordinating major events, and conducting security risk and threat analysis. The Director will work closely with the Chief of Security to implement effective security measures and enhance guest experiences while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience in hotel security, law enforcement, or military
• Understanding of gaming and gaming regulations
• Proven leadership skills and strategic thinking
• Ability to deescalate potentially violent situations both verbally and physically

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day security operations including staffing, training, event management, incident response, and administration.
• Evaluate ongoing security operations training and implement changes to procedures and policies to close service and operational gaps.
• Ensure compliance with MGMRI policies and federal, state, and local laws, effectively communicating policy changes to property and security operations.
• Manage property patrols and oversee security operations programs such as the Lost and Found program.
• Assist the Chief of Security with threat identification, intelligence gathering, and analysis at the property level.
• Build and develop effective teams through recruiting, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop solutions for enhancing guest experiences.
