Position Overview SoloPulse is seeking a dual-threat Director of Security and Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead our comprehensive security program. You will be the primary authority for corporate security compliance while providing strategic oversight to the data and network security functions managed by the CISO/ISSM. As a critical member of the leadership team, you will spearheading our facility clearance process and good standing for classified work while also leading our journey toward 3rd party CMMC Level 2 certification. You will have a direct reporting line to the CEO for all matters concerning national security and significant vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years in Industrial Security, with at least 3 years as a cleared Facility Security Officer (FSO).
  • Certification: Completion of the CDSE FSO Curriculum for possessing/non-possessing facilities (as applicable).
  • Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • System Knowledge: Expert proficiency in DISS, NISS, and SWFT.
  • CMMC/NIST Familiarity: A solid understanding of the administrative requirements of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage technical teams and communicate complex security risks to non-technical executive leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience transitioning a small business to CMMC Level 2 compliance.
  • Background in managing Special Access Programs (SAP) or SCI environments.
  • Industrial security certifications such as the ISP (Industrial Security Professional).

Responsibilities

  • Facility & Personnel Security (NISPOM): Serve as the primary point of contact for the DCSA; manage the FCL and ensure all reporting requirements (foreign travel, suspicious contacts, etc.) are handled via NISS and DISS.
  • Compliance Leadership: Oversee the CISO/ISSM in the implementation of the NIST SP 800-171/CMMC framework. You are responsible for the "administrative weight" of compliance, ensuring policies are updated and maintained, training is conducted, and audits are passed.
  • Insider Threat Program: Act as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), integrating behavioral indicators from personnel files with technical indicators from network logs.
  • Physical Security: Oversee the maintenance and security of any "Closed Areas" or secure enclaves, managing access control systems, alarms, and visitor protocols.
  • Independent Audit Review: Conduct weekly/monthly reviews of technical audit logs generated by the CISO/ISSM to satisfy "Separation of Duties" requirements for both DCSA and CMMC.
