Rocky Mountain Prep is a diverse and dynamic community of educators, families, scholars, and advocates committed to reimagining what excellent public education looks like in Colorado. It is a network of 12 rigorous and loving schools serving children from 12 weeks through 12th grade across the Denver metro area. Grounded in PEAK values—Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness—RMP works relentlessly to ensure every student, especially those historically marginalized by systemic inequities, is prepared to thrive in college, career, and life. Equity is a commitment and inclusion is a daily practice, combining high expectations with deep belonging to create joyful, affirming spaces. The Director of Schools is an instructional leader responsible for leading and supporting a portfolio of Rocky Mountain Prep schools to achieve strong academic outcomes, joyful student culture, and effective school leadership. This role serves as a principal coach and portfolio leader, directly responsible for the performance of assigned schools, working under the guidance of the Executive Director of Schools to ensure alignment with network priorities while driving strong execution at the school level. The Director will oversee a portfolio of schools that may include both strong-performing campuses and schools requiring targeted improvement, balancing maintaining strong performance with providing hands-on leadership and coaching to improve outcomes where needed.
