About The Position

Lifeway Foods (NASDAQ: LWAY), which has been recognized as one of Forbes’ Best Small Companies, is America’s leading supplier of the probiotic beverage known as Kefir. In addition to its line of drinkable Kefir, the company also produces cheese, drinkable yogurt, and a ProBugs line of Kefir for kids. Lifeway’s tart and tangy fermented dairy products are sold across the United States, Mexico, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Summary The Director of Sales – Food Away From Home works closely with senior leadership to translate Lifeway’s strong brand performance into scalable foodservice growth. This position will lead national growth across: Commercial foodservice (regional & national chains, QSR, fast casual, cafés, smoothie & coffee concepts) Non-commercial foodservice (Colleges & Universities, K-12, Healthcare, Corporate Dining, Military) Alternative channels (C-store, vending, micro-markets, on-the-go formats)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Food Away From Home or foodservice sales
  • Proven success managing national & regional foodservice accounts
  • Deep understanding of commercial and non-commercial distribution models
  • Experience working with broadline distributors, contract feeders, and alternative channels
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Background in branded CPG, dairy, beverage, or functional foods preferred
  • Experience in refrigerated, probiotic, or functional food categories preferred
  • Experience scaling brands in foodservice preferred
  • Broker management experience preferred
  • Exposure to C-store and vending channels preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a comprehensive FAFH growth strategy with the VP of Sales
  • Lead national sales efforts across commercial and non-commercial foodservice segments
  • Establish national account priorities and manage key customer relationships
  • Elevate partnerships with Sysco, US Foods, PFG, Vistar, contract feeders, and GPOs
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and bid processes
  • Drive Lifeway-branded menu placements
  • Lead and develop a broker network sales team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations to ensure service levels, forecasting accuracy, and execution excellence
  • Conduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
