About The Position

The Standley Systems Director of Sales will be responsible for creating and leading a highly motivated group of Sales Professionals within their assigned territory. This position also includes the responsibility of providing leadership, developing a professional sales team, and monitoring performance goals to achieve the overall goal of increasing sales. This position will report directly to the VP of Sales

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ business experience, including demonstrated success in managing high performance sales teams. This person must be motivated, able to influence decisions, and through cross functional environments. The successful candidate must be skilled in building and fostering relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screen. Standley Systems has federal contracts that require compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, therefore medical marijuana license-holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for the position.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Light to moderate lifting required
  • Regular, predictable attendance required
  • Travel to other Standley Systems offices and customer sites during normal business hours required
  • Ability to work in a confined area
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time

Nice To Haves

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads motivates and counsels the sales team within their territory to meet or exceed budgeted sales revenue, gross profit, unit replacement, expense and equipment contribution projections while maintaining teamwork and the highest level of customer service.
  • Plans, coaches, trains, advice, and reviews with individual sales representative their progress in achieving individual and team revenue and gross profit targets and assists them in their career planning, training and growth; recommends and facilitates appropriate development opportunities.
  • Manages territory reviews and goal setting.
  • Facilitates a team-based, inclusive work environment to promote sales across the business line and drives employee and customer retention.
  • Ensures that all sales professionals are conducting strategic account planning with key customer accounts.
  • Actively connect and engage with various local business and community organizations.
  • Create training and provide information for existing sales personnel to clarify the sales strategy for technology-based solutions.
  • Provide a compelling voice to inspire, coach, and lead talented sales teams to rally behind the vision to achieve breakthrough results.
  • Ensure objectives are defined clearly and people aligned properly to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Sustain a customer-centric culture.
