About The Position

HHM Hotels is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales for our highly anticipated lifestyle hotel currently under development in the heart of Manhattan. As a key leader for this premier New York property, you will spearhead the pre-opening sales strategy and launch phases. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sophisticated sales and marketing plan that establishes a dominant presence in the competitive NYC landscape, maximizing revenue through direct sales, e-commerce, and high-profile community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required; advanced coursework in business, marketing, or communications is a plus.
  • Proven sales leadership experience in a lifestyle hotel or comparable high-end NYC property.
  • Experience in hotel pre-opening and launch phases is highly preferred.
  • Public relations and community marketing experience required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, sales software, and access database tools.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to negotiate complex terms that satisfy both internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Launch: Lead the pre-opening sales efforts by developing comprehensive strategic plans that incorporate all business segments and align with the hotel’s lifestyle positioning.
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve annual hotel revenue goals by identifying customer business requirements and crafting tailored offers that increase market share.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key accounts and community partners to drive customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Leadership: Interview, select, and mentor a high-performing sales team, modeling professional selling techniques and fostering a commitment to HHM core values.
  • Market Analysis: Use internal and external data to monitor objectives, identify sales trends, and take proactive action to correct any shortfalls against the marketing plan.
