About The Position

As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for implementing the position's responsibilities in alignment with the company's Spirit of Service culture and driving company success. This role involves staffing, planning, handling, and advising the activities of VCs to achieve maximum production and efficiencies for the Action Line. The Director of Sales also acts as the DOS when the DOS is not on property and supports the DOS when they are present. Key aspects include supporting the VP in developing business strategy, challenging existing methods to enhance business results, improving customer experience, increasing efficiencies, and boosting cash down payments at the point of sale. The role requires tracking performance, predicting short-term outcomes, and adjusting plans as needed. Execution responsibilities include managing the Pender Report & Cancellation Log and coordinating with Contracts and QAM to convert penders to solids. A significant part of the role is building and leading talent, which encompasses direct responsibility for the monthly performance of Action Line VCs, implementing training for Sales Closer T/Os, fostering a high-performing Sales Management team, and coaching/developing VCs and T/Os for current and future leadership roles to support succession planning. The Director ensures consistent performance management and drives talent management philosophies/programs across the site, leading various performance and talent initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Staff, plan, handle and advise the activities of the VCs to acquire maximum production and efficiencies for the Action Line.
  • Step into the role and functions of the DOS when the DOS is not on property, and support the DOS in their role and function while the DOS is on property.
  • Supports the VP in driving and developing the business strategy in order to meet and exceed plan.
  • Supports the operation by challenging the way things have always been done; looking at problems, processes and solutions in new ways; and identifying novel solutions to old problems by trying new methods and technologies. This includes enhancing business results, the customer experience, improving efficiencies, increased cash down payment at the point of sale, etc.
  • Supports the VP in crafting competitive, breakthrough strategies and plans.
  • Tracks and trends performance and is able to predict short-term performance and adjust plans as conditions change to achieve results.
  • Responsible for the Pender Report & Cancellation Log (saving sales and taking sales off log).
  • Coordinating with Contracts and QAM improving penders to solids.
  • Directly responsible for the monthly performance of the Action Line VCs.
  • Implements training for the Sales Closer T/Os.
  • Consistently builds an environment that fosters a top performing Sales Management team.
  • Coaches, develops, empowers measures, monitors and mentors VCs and T/Os for current business needs and future leadership positions to support succession planning.
  • Ensures performance management is consistently performed and driven throughout the site for VCs and T/Os. All reviews are due by the 9th day of the following month.
  • Ensures talent management philosophies/programs are driven and completed throughout the site.
  • Leads performance and talent initiatives, including but not limited to the following areas: Point of Sale Leads, Sophisticated Training, Rotation, Pender Business, Front to Back Program, Guest Complaints, spiffs & contests, Half-Time Meetings.
