About The Position

An innovative and fast-growing medtech startup is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead its Eastern US commercial team. Requirements

  • 10+ years in medical device sales, including regional or national leadership roles.
  • Strong background in emergency or critical care
  • Experience building, leading, and scaling commercial teams in a startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Eastern US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of Area Sales Managers (individual contributors) and Clinical Specialists across the Eastern US.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategy aligned with national growth targets.
  • Partner with senior leadership on forecasting, market expansion, and talent planning.
  • Mentor and coach field teams to drive accountability, pipeline development, and sales execution.
  • Engage directly with key health system stakeholders (e.g., C-suite, clinical leaders) to support team success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, and Product to align go-to-market strategy.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development of regional team members.
