About The Position

The position involves managing the direct sales process for strategic opportunities in the retail vertical, specifically for Enterprise Retail Management Software. The role requires developing close relationships with key target customers and maintaining and expanding the Channel Partner Network to maximize indirect revenue. The Channel Sales Manager will support and drive sales activities, manage the full sales cycle, and develop effective sales plans to ensure revenue delivery and sustainable growth. The individual will also gather market information, establish strong customer relationships, and manage customer relations through Quarterly Customer Business Reviews. Overall ownership of opportunities generated and the contract negotiation process is essential, along with creating a Demand Generation Strategy for the retail industry. The role includes responsibilities for strategic lead generation, research, and outreach, as well as collaboration with other departments such as Marketing and Product Management.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of corporate sales experience in Direct Sales, Channels/Resellers/Partner environment.
  • Experience in selling Retail Software.
  • Experience selling SAP Business One is required.
  • Substantial experience in sales.
  • Experience in partner and channel management is a plus.
  • Professional qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage direct sales process for strategic opportunities in the retail vertical for Enterprise Retail Management Software.
  • Develop close relationships with key target customers.
  • Maintain and expand Channel Partner Network to maximize indirect revenue.
  • Develop a partner network strategy to grow and expand markets.
  • Support and drive sales activities as a Channel Sales Manager.
  • Manage full sales cycle from inbound conversion to closure and post-sale account management.
  • Develop effective sales plans to ensure revenue delivery and sustainable growth.
  • Meet and exceed revenue and profit targets for the region.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to senior management.
  • Gather market information to analyze competition and consumer/market trends.
  • Establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Manage customer relations through Quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
  • Oversee opportunities generated and contract negotiation process.
  • Create and drive a Demand Generation Strategy for the retail industry.
  • Grow retail software business through strategic lead generation and outreach.
  • Refine sales strategy, messaging, and sales process with management.
  • Interact with other departments such as Marketing, Professional Services, Global Support, and Product Management.
  • Assess and validate channel partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide basic technical and commercial support to indirect partners.
  • Support implementation of regional commercial and marketing plan.
  • Work closely with Regional Head and Executive Management team to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve market penetration.
  • Manage weekly forecasting routines for all direct and channel partner leads.
  • Update CRM with forecast and strategic data of customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management to ensure quality training for partners.
  • Build rapport and relationships at all levels including C-Level.
