About The Position

The Director of Sales Operations is a senior leader responsible for owning and scaling the end‑to‑end sales operations function. This role serves as the strategic and operational backbone of the sales organization—ensuring process excellence, data integrity, cross‑functional alignment, predictable revenue execution and increasing sale velocity. The Director of Sales Operations leads Sales Operations and Sales Coordination, oversees CRM and reporting infrastructure, governs sales processes and documentation, and acts as the primary liaison between Sales, Operations, Programs, Finance, and Marketing. This role is accountable for enabling high‑performance sales execution while maintaining operational rigor and scalability.

Requirements

  • 4–8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Sales Enablement
  • 3–5+ years leading Sales Operations or similar teams
  • Deep experience with CRM systems, reporting, and sales process governance
  • Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Programs
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting complex, multi‑stage sales cycles and project handoffs

Responsibilities

  • Own the Sales Operations function, ensuring alignment between Sales, Operations, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Translate company growth objectives into scalable sales processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales leadership on forecasting, pipeline health, deal execution, and operational planning.
  • Own and enforce all sales operating procedures, including: Internal inquiry management, Proposal accuracy verification, Closed‑won project approvals, Sales‑to‑Operations handoff processes
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of sales documentation prior to project handoff.
  • Serve as executive owner of the CRM ecosystem (CRM and integrated tools).
  • Ensure standardized data entry, workflows, automations, and reporting across Sales Operations, Sales Coordination, and Account Management.
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance and Sales Management to implement and maintain dashboards, automations, and master trackers supporting forecasting and KPIs.
  • Own all Sales Operations KPIs and reporting, including: Weekly and monthly Sales Activity review (WOW, MTD, YTD net new leads, opportunities and contact volume), Closed‑won handoff reporting, Sales coordinator dashboards, Account management reporting, New market and program‑specific reporting
  • Ensure leadership has accurate, timely insights into pipeline, forecasting, commissions, and execution risk.
  • Act as the primary operational liaison between Sales and: Operations (installation of product), Program / Project Management, Finance & Accounting, Marketing & Events
  • Own the Operations‑to‑Sales feedback loop post‑deal close and ensure rapid issue resolution.
  • Oversee commission tracking and approvals in partnership with Finance.
  • Ensure commissions align with eligibility rules and closed‑won deal validation.
  • Lead Sales Operations support for new market launches, including: CRM field creation and workflow updates, Data uploads and property/contact integration, Call campaign oversight, In‑market training and frontline support
  • Support and Manage lead list development
  • Partner with Marketing to plan and execute trade shows and events.
  • Ensure operational readiness, lead tracking, post‑event reporting, and retrospectives.
  • Own onboarding and ongoing training for Sales Operations, Sales Coordination, and new Account Executives.
  • Maintain and continuously improve: SOPs, Workflows and templates, Sales documentation standards
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools to improve sales efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure governance and best practices for shared systems including CRM, file repositories, trackers, and reporting platforms.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the Sales Operations and Sales Coordination teams.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development paths.
  • Build a culture of accountability, precision, and service‑oriented partnership with Sales.
