About The Position

The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) is responsible for overseeing the sales operations of the hotel, focusing on maximizing profit and expanding business relationships with targeted prospects and large clients. This role involves developing and implementing strategies, sales plans, budgets, and forecasts for overall business development, while managing both group and transient sales. The DOSM leads a talented sales team, fostering an environment that encourages growth and excellence, and collaborates with various departments to ensure revenue expectations and profit goals are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Hilton Experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of Full Service Hotel Sales Experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Delphi.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the sales division.
  • Provide strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth.
  • Lead a talented sales team to achieve sales goals.
  • Assess the effectiveness of company programs to determine optimum revenues.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure the sales plan is on budget.
  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified goals.
  • Maintain and nurture new and existing client relationships.
  • Develop customer relations through sales leads, research, and customer service.
  • Implement a sales action plan with objectives to increase revenue.
  • Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
  • Analyze existing and anticipated client needs and promote company services.
  • Manage the preparation and implementation of sales and business development plans.
