About The Position

The Director of Sales & Marketing at the Stamford Hilton is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts of the hotel, driving revenue growth, and enhancing the guest experience. This role involves managing a team, generating new business leads, and collaborating with various departments to develop effective marketing strategies. Requirements

  • 5+ years of hotel or industry related experience
  • Proven performance achieving individual and team sales productivity goals
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience with industry specific sales programs including Microsoft Office, Delphi.fdc, and/or CI/TY.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of hotel sales and marketing experience
  • 3+ years successfully directing a sales, catering or similar team
  • Strong working knowledge or experience with Group, Negotiated Transient and Social Event segments
  • Working knowledge of ProfitSword forecasting

Responsibilities

  • Manage property level Sales and Marketing associates, ensuring understanding of employment practices and supporting performance management.
  • Generate new group leads through proactive solicitation using various resources.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train Associates.
  • Pursue business opportunities within assigned accounts, responding to leads and building relationships.
  • Plan and execute client site visits, negotiations, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Strategy Team to develop pricing, inventory, and marketing strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between the property and the Enterprise Sales Organization, communicating strategies and hotel information.
  • Oversee all hotel marketing, ensuring content is current and accurately represents the hotel.
  • Provide financial leadership for the sales function, including forecasting and budget participation.
  • Conduct and participate in required company standard meetings.
  • Manage the negotiated Transient segment with support from Atrium National Sales.
  • Host or participate in proactive sales initiatives and events.
