About The Position

The Director of Sales for Luxury, Lifestyle & Managed Hotels will provide direction, oversight, and expert-level sales leadership to the HMG Brand portfolio, sales, and/or marketing staff. The role involves engaging hotel leadership, assessing local market dynamics, current industry trends, and sales figures to determine the strategic direction for marketing and sales operations in each assigned hotel. The Director will ensure that plans and strategies are implemented effectively by hotel management, identify training needs, and coordinate cluster sales and marketing activities. Additionally, the role includes integrating national marketing initiatives at the local/regional level through tactical promotions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales-related work experience, including tactical sales program development.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience managing teams and/or significant complex projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing and executing large-scale projects.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, training principles, and hotel systems.
  • Understanding of marketing and sales principles and ability to develop related programs.
  • Experience in brand marketing and implementation of brand marketing programs.
  • Understanding of sales incentive systems and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Guide team in implementing and communicating strategic plans and new company initiatives to hotel owners.
  • Partner with team and stakeholders to assess competitive data and develop innovative consulting tools.
  • Develop and coach DORM and DOS communities, ensuring the right mix of skills within the team.
  • Implement and measure commercial sales initiatives with a focus on full adoption and execution.
  • Enable successful delivery of market events.
  • Assess sales organization deployment and develop tactical project plans for revenue maximization.
  • Create and develop hotel sales and marketing plans that maximize enterprise value.
  • Identify operational problems impacting marketing effectiveness and facilitate local marketing campaigns.
  • Develop targeted sales initiatives for specific market segments or key accounts.
  • Assist in creating tactical promotions for hotels in similar geographical areas.
  • Organize marketing training workshops and assess additional training needs.
