About The Position

TES Staffing is partnered with a trusted commercial flooring contractor that has multiple locations, a record of substantial growth, and a national reputation. They are actively seeking a dynamic, growth-driven Director of Sales and Project Management to lead and scale its NYC Metro operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for accelerating revenue growth, strengthening profitability, and building a best-in-class sales team within one of the most competitive commercial flooring markets in the country. The Director will drive regional revenue strategy, expand market share, and cultivate a high-performance sales organization aligned with company-wide growth objectives. This leader will not only develop and manage a team of sales professionals but will also carry and achieve their own individual sales goals, setting the pace through personal production, accountability, and example. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this individual will serve as the senior commercial leader for the region—shaping business direction, enhancing operational execution, and fostering long-term, strategic client partnerships that position the organization for sustained success. This leader will balance strategic vision with disciplined execution, building infrastructure while driving immediate results.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
  • Exceptional team development expertise
  • Deep expertise in commercial flooring, construction services, or a related B2B industry
  • A track record of scaling revenue and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong financial acumen and comfort owning regional P&L performance
  • Executive presence and the ability to build trusted C-suite relationships
  • Experience driving accountability through metrics, CRM systems, and structured sales processes

Responsibilities

  • Execute and exceed your own sales goals
  • Carry and close your own book of business by generating new opportunities and maintaining existing relationships
  • Drive significant personal revenue production while leading the region – Generate substantial individual sales while simultaneously providing strong operational oversight and strategic sales leadership to the regional team.
  • Develop and execute a strategic market expansion plan, equipping the team with the tools, training, and direction needed to win new business
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and project management team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth
  • Serve as a hands-on coach and leader, providing ongoing feedback, field support, and performance development plans to elevate individual and team success
  • Strengthen executive-level client and vendor relationships, modeling relationship-building excellence and teaching the team how to cultivate long-term partnerships
  • Elevate sales process rigor, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline strategy, training the team on disciplined sales methodology and data-driven decision-making
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client outcomes, reinforcing collaboration and shared accountability across departments
  • Contribute to enterprise-level leadership initiatives and national growth strategy, developing future leaders and building bench strength within the organization
