About The Position

Champion the resort’s positioning as a premier New England luxury destination, curating strategies that elevate brand perception, guest experience, and revenue performance. Develop and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives that highlight the property’s distinctive golf, spa, culinary, and event experiences. Drive revenue across high-value leisure, corporate retreat, incentive, wedding, and social event segments with a focus on premium positioning and curated experiences. Lead strategic storytelling and brand marketing efforts that reflect the resort’s boutique identity, design aesthetic, and experiential offerings. Cultivate strong relationships with luxury travel advisors, event designers, corporate decision-makers, and lifestyle partners. Maximize utilization of refined conference and meeting spaces through elevated, experience-driven programming rather than transactional sales. Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, spa, golf, and operations leaders to design bespoke packages and signature events that differentiate the property in the market. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and community alignments that enhance visibility and prestige. Leverage data insights and market intelligence to drive thoughtful pricing strategy and optimize profitability while preserving brand integrity. Lead and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team aligned with a culture of sophistication, service excellence, and accountability. Oversee digital presence, PR, and brand communications to ensure consistency, luxury appeal, and aspirational messaging. Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the resort at curated industry events and within key feeder markets. Directly manage subordinate sales team of 8 full time sellers and executers, from hiring, training, guidance and delegation, to reviews, discipline, scheduling, and termination. Onsite support to ensure sales and catering team is motivated, productive, meeting event execution standards, and driven to seek creative avenues of revenue generation.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience in luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, or destination resorts
  • Proven success driving revenue across leisure, group, corporate retreat, wedding, and social event segments
  • Experience positioning and selling experiential offerings (spa, golf, culinary, retreats) rather than purely transactional room sales
  • Strong understanding of the New England or Northeast feeder markets preferred
  • Background working with luxury travel advisors, third-party planners, and corporate decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Strong financial acumen: forecasting, budgeting, pace reporting, ROI analysis, and pricing strategy
  • Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing strategy, and revenue optimization tools
  • Knowledge of luxury branding, public relations, and digital storytelling
  • Contract negotiation expertise and familiarity with group/event agreements
  • Prior team leadership experience with demonstrated experience managing and mentoring staff
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong, highly collaborative relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for sales and marketing
  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion.
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.
