About the position

LIBERTY SENIOR LIVING is currently seeking an experienced DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING. This full-time position involves a variety of sales and management responsibilities aimed at promoting the community and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents. The role requires conducting sales calls, organizing tours, managing relationships with prospects, and overseeing the sales and marketing team. The Director will also be responsible for creating marketing content, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales calls to prospective residents.
  • Schedule, organize, and conduct tours and appointments with prospective residents and family members for independent living.
  • Conduct proper and timely follow-up with all leads including walk-ins, phone-ins, and mail-ins.
  • Direct, coordinate and supervise all sales and marketing programming.
  • Ensure CRM is used by self and department staff for all prospect engagements per established policy.
  • Manage relationships with prospects, understanding their reasons for inquiring about living at the Community.
  • Attend community events to market and advertise for the company including outreach.
  • Market CCRC Community to prospective residents, family members, physicians, and other referrals using various methods.
  • Meet assigned goals for sales activities including call outs, appointments, tours, and sales.
  • Schedule closing/move-in dates appropriate to the contract.
  • Investigate every alternative before converting a lead to a lost lead.
  • Provide assistance and direction to sales team members to close or retain sales.
  • Manage departmental budget.
  • Set positive attitude, tone and atmosphere for the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Prepare and monitor the work schedules of Sales Associates.
  • Monitor department absenteeism, overtime, and PTO.
  • Ensure open communication between self and other departments.
  • Coordinate marketing events with other departments.
  • Hire and supervise the sales and marketing staff.
  • Create digital content for website and emails.
  • Prepare and deliver job performance evaluations for wellness employees.
  • Initiate disciplinary action of sales and marketing staff as needed.
  • Provide orientation and training of department employees.
  • Work closely with the home office marketing team.
  • Coordinate and implement marketing events/presentations on and off campus.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and other requested Marketing Reports and competitive analysis.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments for the benefit of new residents.
  • Maintain awareness of senior marketplace.
  • Review prospect financial information, health record, new move-in contracts, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field.
  • Must have 5 years' sales experience.
  • Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Must have a professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be conscientious, trustworthy, dependable and punctual.
  • Must read, know, and follow oral and written communication regarding personnel, department and community policies.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
