The Director of Sales and Business Development is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives that drive new business acquisition. The focus is on driving revenue growth through strategic prospecting, sales enablement, and market expansion. This position requires a deep understanding of digital strategy (marketing, web, and UX), strong strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to optimize the sales function. The ideal candidate has a track record of success in business development, effectively guiding marketing solutions for enterprise clients while owning revenue growth targets.

  • New Business Development & Growth Strategy Leadership
  • Autonomously lead prospective client discovery calls with C-suite marketing stakeholders to identify business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Own the development of growth strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s ‘land and expand’ model by identifying initial sales opportunities and expansion potential.
  • Work closely with the Growth Strategy Manager + BDR to develop high-quality prospecting strategies, joining and supporting them in outreach efforts and goal attainment.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing directors, sales teams, and client service leadership to lead the creation of compelling proposals and RFP responses.
  • Drive consistency and quality in sales enablement materials, case studies, and industry-specific collateral to improve conversion rates.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from sales to client success by facilitating knowledge transfer and maintaining strategic oversight of key accounts.
  • Evaluate and refine proposal systems, workflows, and processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Directly manage the Growth Strategy Manager + BDR, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Represent growth strategy in executive and leadership discussions, aligning sales efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging digital marketing strategies, continuously educating the team and integrating innovative approaches into sales strategies.
  • Operational & CRM Management
  • Oversee HubSpot CRM data integrity and optimization for tracking sales performance and opportunity pipeline.
  • Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, and AI-driven tools to enhance prospecting efforts and improve targeting accuracy.
  • Monitor and refine KPI tracking for new business efforts.
  • 8-12 years of experience in business development, digital marketing strategy, or client growth leadership.
  • Proven success in agency sales, with direct responsibility for revenue growth.
  • Expertise in digital marketing tactics, web technologies, and strategic marketing frameworks.
  • Experience managing high-performing sales and strategy teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to develop creative, data-driven strategies.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, and AI-driven prospecting tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
