This role will be located at one Discovery Land Company's locations: Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Fort Worth, Texas. Maverick Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Director of Safety and Security to join the Security Department.

Requirements

Resource management experience.
Knowledge of security systems management, including access control, CCTV and Ops Center operations.
Site security management experience.
Special event management experience.
Budget creation and management skills.
Experience in the development of governance and policy.
Experience in building, training and motivating a security team and guard force.
Good driving record and the ability to maintain driver’s license.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Business or Public Safety domain preferred.
Executive Protection experience preferred.
Prior Law Enforcement, Military or Hospitality executive level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all members of the Community Safety and Security team (CSST) provide world class service to all members, guests and employees.
Ensure team members have a thorough knowledge of all club amenities and services to assist members and support club operations.
Responsible for drafting the Club’s Master Community Safety Plan for operations, policies and procedures regarding the Club’s safety and security program.
Develop and maintain current governance and policy to ensure the safe and private operation of the Club, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry best practices.
Identify community safety threats, hazards, risks, and vulnerabilities and develop mitigating strategies.
Develop policies and procedures to deter, prevent, detect and respond to unauthorized access to the Club that could disrupt normal operations or lead to unlawful, destructive and undesirable activity.
Proactively address loss prevention and theft from Club premises.
Assist and coordinate with Corporate staff in researching and making recommendations regarding security technologies, systems, uniforms, equipment, devices, including vehicle and person access control, perimeter security and effective CCTV coverage, design of an Operations Center and a key management crisis response plan to ensure design plans are in compliance with local regulations and meet Corporate guidelines for safety, security and member experience.
Develop an effective and cost-efficient plan regarding Community Safety and loss prevention during the construction and operational phases of the Club development.
Assist club leadership in preparing any request for proposals regarding Community Safety resources or services.
Create budgets to support effective CSST Operations throughout various phases of the Club’s development.
Provide hands-on and daily operational management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as departmental leadership, to ensure a collaborative approach to safety and security initiatives.
Create a proactive approach for securing assets located within the confines of the property’s boundaries working with departmental leadership across the club operation.
Recruit, hire and train personnel as needed to maintain effective staffing levels during day-to-day operations and during peak times.
Coordinate the executive protection of VIP members and guests, ensuring their comfort, safety and privacy.
Implement a security program that will ensure the highest levels of confidentiality.
Oversee risk management and occupational health and safety to mitigate any risk associated with The Club activities during construction and transition to residential occupancy and special events.
Provide command, control and coordination of any critical incident that occurs on property and ensure key Club and Corporate management are notified and updated.
Work alongside local emergency services agencies, ensuring executive leadership and corporate leadership are informed of their involvement when working within the confines of the Club property.
Develop, implement and train staff to address life safety issues to include natural hazards and fire prevention.
Develop and implement an initial and sustainment training program to ensure readiness of CSST personnel at all times.
Conduct no notice drills to test the effectiveness of Community Safety Team members as well as all Club Operations.
Plan, coordinate and conduct tabletop exercises for executive leadership to prepare and train for critical incidents.
Assist and coordinate with Corporate staff in developing the club medical operations ensuring the program meets corporate guidelines and requirements.
Oversee and ensure staff is integrated with club operations to ensure members and employees receive world class, concierge medical services as appropriate.
Lead internal investigations regarding security and safety on property and report findings to Club and Corporate Leadership.
Maintain a local intelligence capability and provide security analysis for consideration to club and corporate leadership.
Develop and maintain key relationships with external stakeholders such as local, state and federal Law Enforcement officials and other local law enforcement, emergency responders or medical providers.
Conduct briefings prior to any major Club events on or off property.
Conduct debriefs and after-action reviews after major club events or incidents.
Manage information security in coordination with the IT team to protect the privacy and confidentiality of members and guests.
