Requirements

• Ten years of direct safety, EM and security experience, at least half of which was in a position of responsible charge; or Bachelor's Degree and 6 years direct security experience, at least half of which was in a position of responsible charge; or Master's Degree and 3 years direct security experience, at least half of which was in a position of responsible charge.
• Completion of FEMA ICS basic courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800.
• Working knowledge of DNV, JC, CARF, DOH, OSHA, NFPA, standards and other requirements.
• Valid New York State Driver's license.
• Must be certified in BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and employees for the Garnet Health Medical Center.
• Organizes and oversees all Safety & Emergency Management standards.
• In cooperation with the Safety Officer and the PE Committee, serves as the second safety officer.
• Assists with the ongoing process to collect information about deficiencies and identifies opportunities for improvement in the PE programs.
