About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Risk Management to lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could impact the company’s long-term goals, operational stability, and property portfolio. This role oversees enterprise risk management initiatives, including administering risk activities, developing policies and procedures, and managing emergency response and business continuity programs. The Director of Risk Management will collaborate with leadership and onsite teams to strengthen compliance, protect company assets, and promote a proactive culture of safety and risk awareness.

Requirements

  • Represent Investment Property Group in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in risk management, compliance, property management, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing risk management policies, procedures, and enterprise risk strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, insurance programs, claims management, and liability mitigation.
  • Experience overseeing emergency preparedness, safety programs, and business continuity planning.
  • Ability to analyze risk exposure and recommend strategic solutions to protect company assets and operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functionable collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure or crisis situations.
  • Proficiency with risk management reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking systems.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to company properties as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s enterprise risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact business operations and long-term objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to a team of employees, ensuring alignment with risk management and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity planning to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Interpret and manage insurance programs, coverages, requirements, and compliance to protect company assets.
  • Conduct risk assessments across the property portfolio and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with executive leadership and operational teams to strengthen compliance, safety, and risk management.
  • Monitor regulatory and legal requirements affecting property management operations and ensure company compliance.
  • Analyze incident reports, loss trends, and operational data and identify risk patterns and implement preventative measures.
  • Provide guidance and training to onsite teams on safety procedures, incident response, and risk management practices.
  • Prepare reports and present risk insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as needed.
