About The Position

The Director of Risk Management (Facility Risk Manager/FRM) has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss. The FRM is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of TJC, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M© Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree specializing in social work or a related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in risk management/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.
  • Licensure: LPC, LMSW, LMSW, LPC-A, RN preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of JOINT COMMISSION, TDSHS, CMS standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate loss control efforts for the hospital.
  • Advise management and administration on potential sources of loss.
  • Make recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure to loss.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and standards of TJC and other regulatory agencies.
