About The Position

South Peninsula Hospital is looking for a great talent to join our diverse leadership team as the Director of Revenue Cycle. This is a Full-Time position with 80 hours a pay period (1.0 FTE). The schedule may vary to meet department needs. The position requires a moderate amount of mobility and involves overseeing the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration with focus on business in healthcare preferred.
• Revenue Cycle certifications from HFMA, AAPC, or AAHAM preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of experience working in the Revenue Cycle of a hospital.
• 3 to 5 years of experience at a management level position.
• Ability in business math and basic statistical analysis.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities.
• Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections and other financial analyses.
• Tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times.
• Manages relations with payers and providers to generate maximum reimbursement and an acceptable level of denials.
• Develops functional strategies and specific objectives for reporting to department managers and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
