About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Lead to transform our RCM function and drive significant improvements in our coding, billing, collections and denial management processes. This is a high-impact role where you'll build scalable systems from the ground up, leverage data-driven insights to optimize our billing processes, and play a critical role in our company's growth trajectory. We prefer New York City based candidates where we have a thriving office, but we are open to remote work for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, including 2+ years of hands-on Revenue Cycle Management experience at a venture backed startup.
  • Proven track record of building revenue cycle functions from minimal infrastructure into best-in-class systems at a high-growth company.
  • Deep attention to detail and orientation towards process development.
  • Exposure to complex payer environments, including Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial ASO groups.
  • Bias towards technology with experience in rolling out and optimizing new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Own and transform our RCM lifecycle including coding, billing, collections, and denials for a growing network of outpatient practices offering innovative mental health treatments.
  • Drive process optimization: Reduce unnecessary iterations in the billing process by quickly identifying root causes of denials and implementing pattern recognition solutions.
  • Identify & resolve obstacles to reimbursement proactively and maintain industry-leading claim payment rates.
  • Translate confusing and technical revenue cycle concepts into actionable and understandable guidance for our partners.
  • Scale our market-leading RCM performance while maintaining our core RCM KPIs like clean claim rate, days to pay, net collections, and others.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to optimize our tooling and inform selection of critical vendors enabling all stages of the revenue cycle, leveraging new AI technologies where possible.
