About The Position

A cutting-edge technology company is seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to lead its revenue recognition and billing operations. This role is ideal for a CPA with deep experience in ASC 606, contract review, and revenue operations—especially those coming from Big 4 or top 10 public accounting firms. The Director will oversee revenue accounting policies, ensure compliance with GAAP, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support scalable revenue processes in a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• CPA required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally in a high-growth or public company environment
• Big 4 or top 10 public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue operations
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems and revenue automation tools a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition under ASC 606 across multiple revenue streams
• Review customer contracts and assess accounting implications
• Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee billing operations and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with sales, legal, and finance teams to support deal structuring
• Support audit and SOX compliance related to revenue
• Implement process improvements and automation initiatives
