About The Position

The Director of Residential Services shall be responsible for the development, implementation, and the quality operations of the residential program. A professional in the field of behavioral health, who will provide the supervision of assigned personnel, will assist in the completion of intake assessments, maintain expected occupancy levels, and ensure staff coverage in designated programs. The Director of Residential Services functions as the administrator of specific programs to ensure effective daily departmental operations and actively performs required activities designed to achieve stated agency and program’s goals and objectives. The Director of Residential Services promotes the professional development of assigned staff to enhance operational activities and the specialized services provided to clients of EIHAB. The Director of Residential Services is responsible for monitoring and overseeing program compliance. Ensures that services are rendered in accordance with all safety regulations, federal and state regulations, and agency and corporate polices. The Director is required to cooperate with the Office of Licensing and Department of Human Services staff during inspections and investigations. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree with two years’ administrative experience in a behavioral healthcare setting or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years’ administrative experience, two of which are supervisory.
  • Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey, plus three years driving history and a driving record in good standing.
  • Ability to document in the individual’s charts and treatment plans required.
  • Ability to do simple math required.
  • Knowledge of current principles and practices of behavioral healthcare, specific to the developmentally disabled population.
  • All staff must be able to complete Crisis Management Training and implement Crisis Management techniques when needed at all times.
  • Required to meet strict deadlines, work with others in a group or team, and work with external customers or the public.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Employees must be 21 years of age and successfully completes DDD Modules of Medication Administration.
  • Successfully completes training in agency approved procedure for handling life-threatening emergencies/Danielle’s Law and HIPPA training prior to working directly with the consumers.
  • Maintains current CPR/First Aid and Mantoux requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.
