About The Position

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 2014 and provides the highest quality of behavioral healthcare for patients in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Suncoast Behavioral Health Center offers a unique treatment programs across inpatient and residential programs for children and adolescents. In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed. The Hospital is looking for a Director of Residential Services who will be accountable for 24-hour a day leadership of the therapeutic milieu for all units and for the direct supervision and oversight of the Residential Managers (House Supervisors, Unit Coordinators), Milieu Manager and Staffing Coordinator. The Director of Residential Services will work in close collaboration with the CEO, COO, DON, and Nurse Supervisors to accomplish the mission of the organization. Through strong leadership, communication, and management skills, the Director of Residential Services has a vital role in providing all residents with a safe, structured and therapeutic environment. In addition, the Director of Residential Services is responsible for measuring and reporting program outcomes and developing and maintaining program policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s Level Degree required (Masters of Social Work or other clinical Master's degree equivalent).
• Current license from the State of Florida, LCSW or LMHC required.
• At least three to five years of hospital experience.
• Must have strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for 24-hour leadership of the therapeutic milieu for all units.
• Direct supervision and oversight of the Residential Managers, Milieu Manager, and Staffing Coordinator.
• Collaborate with the CEO, COO, DON, and Nurse Supervisors.
• Provide a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for residents.
• Measure and report program outcomes.
• Develop and maintain program policies and procedures.
