The Director of Residential Living Services leads the strategy and execution of a comprehensive lifestyle program, encompassing recreational, educational, cultural, and wellness initiatives. This role is dedicated to identifying and addressing the evolving support needs of our Residential Living population. By fostering a high-quality, welcoming and supportive environment, the Director ensures Pleasant View remains a vibrant and thriving community for every resident that we serve.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Recreational Therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in senior living, hospitality, or social services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification: Relevant certifications (e.g., Activity Professional Certification) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Innovation: Design and oversee a diverse calendar of events that promotes physical, mental, and social well-being.
  • Resident Advocacy & Support: Proactively identify the changing needs of the resident population and coordinate internal or external resources to support "aging in place."
  • Community Integration: Build partnerships with local organizations, performers, and educators to bring unique cultural and educational opportunities to the campus.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead and mentor the life enrichment/programming staff, ensuring high standards of service and resident engagement.
  • Communication & Promotion: Serve as a primary ambassador for the community, ensuring residents and families are well-informed and excited about thriving at Pleasant View.
  • Quality Assurance: Utilize resident feedback and surveys to continually refine programming and measure the impact of wellness initiatives.
