Now Hiring Home Health Director of Rehabilitation Office Location: Federal Way Compensation : Salary $110,000-$125,000 Type : Full Time Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Plan, Life/Disability Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, up to 4 weeks of PTO, 6 paid holidays JOB SUMMARY The Director of Rehabilitation (“DOR”) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the rehabilitation services and programs within an assigned agency or region. This role involves managing the delivery of therapy services to ensure the highest quality of patient care, and ensuring appropriate documentation as outlined in policies and procedures. The DOR will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, other departments, and direct and indirect staff to design and implement effective care strategies that meet the needs of our patients and their families. This role is also responsible for staff oversight, including orientation, performance management, and ongoing training and development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Occupational Therapist in the state where services are rendered; must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employment.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience required; preferably with two (2) years in a leadership or manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and industry issues affecting the agency, staff, and therapy standards.
  • Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of patients in our care.
  • Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain personal safety while also ensuring safety for the patients, and other individuals in the home.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families at all times.
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board.
  • Must consistently demonstrate autonomy, organization, efficient time management, confidence, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction for the agency’s therapy program.
  • Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of our patients and their families.
  • Develop and foster effective collaboration between departments, staff, leadership and vendors to ensure an integrated approach to providing patient care and fulfilling the agency’s mission.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership on ways to help reduce cost, enhance revenues, increase patient satisfaction, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support the agency’s goals, both short and long range.
  • Develop and maintain staffing plans based upon volumes, patient acuity, anticipated workload, skill-mix and competency requirements.
  • Review case referrals and assign the appropriate therapists and care disciplines required to treat the patient’s needs.
  • Review the services provided by therapists, including case conferences and documentation review, and guide and mentor therapists to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality services.
  • Consult with the Medical Director and the expanded interdisciplinary team regarding patient diagnoses, prognoses, medications, clinical course, and eligibility and appropriateness for services.
  • Assist therapists in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals and priorities, and in developing patients’ plan of care.
  • Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction for the agency’s therapy program.
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and performance manage a team.
  • Assess health needs of the community and assist leadership in the development of plans to meet the community’s access needs and promote the agency as a provider of choice.
  • Must be available for consultation during the agency’s normal operating hours.
  • Serve as a role model of our core values and mission, and unwavering adherence to agency policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide direct patient care in the field as census and caseloads fluctuate; must be able to fulfill all the essential functions of the Physical Therapist job description.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and all other established policies, procedures and standards of care.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
