About The Position

Franklin Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy team in El Paso, TX. Position Summary As the Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee all therapy services, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations across all disciplines. You will provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction while supporting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Active Texas license as PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP
  • In good standing with all licensing boards and regulatory agencies
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the rehabilitation team across all therapy disciplines
  • Oversee daily operations of the rehab department, including staffing and scheduling
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Conduct regular chart audits and monitor quality outcomes
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate closely with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor productivity, census, and departmental performance metrics
  • Support clinical program development to enhance resident outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Promote a positive, ethical, and resident-centered treatment environment
