In-House Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) - El Paso, TX - St. Giles Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy team in El Paso, TX. Position Overview The Director of Rehabilitation oversees all aspects of the rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality service delivery across therapy disciplines. This role is responsible for clinical oversight, staff leadership, program development, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active Texas license as a L icensed Therapist
- In good standing with all regulatory and licensing agencies
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in rehabilitation preferred
- SNF or long-term care experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Net Health documentation system a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation; conduct regular audits for compliance
- Manage therapy schedules to meet census and patient care needs
- Recruit, onboard, and develop PRN therapy staff as needed
- Implement clinical programs to drive quality outcomes and performance
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
- Build strong relationships with facility leadership, staff, residents, and families
- Monitor department productivity, budgets, and performance metrics
- Maintain a safe and compliant treatment environment aligned with infection control standards
