About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • Current license in the state of practice as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems to enhance interdisciplinary care.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
  • Implement new patient programs in accordance with facility policies.
  • Conduct monthly documentation audits and ensure compliance with documentation guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with the Administrator and Regional Rehab Consultant.
  • Ensure timely evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Participate with the IDT to meet OBRA requirements.
  • Manage Medicare Medical Review and Denials Management process.
  • Monitor financial performance of the rehab department and seek improvement methods.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and ensure effective utilization of staff.
  • Contribute to census development and marketing efforts of the facility.
  • Maintain current professional status and licensure for self and staff.
  • Complete employee performance reviews and provide staff development programs.
  • Maintain close communications with nursing and admissions staff to fulfill client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
