About The Position
Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) – Multiple California Locations This position is reserved exclusively for licensed therapy professionals with supervisory or management experience in rehabilitation settings. If you are not a licensed therapy clinician, please do not apply. Relient Health is seeking experienced Directors of Rehabilitation (DORs) for full-time, in-person leadership opportunities within established rehabilitation departments across California. These are full-time, direct-hire, permanent placement DOR positions (not contract, not travel, not PRN). Our openings include leadership roles in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), and retirement communities , depending on the specific location. 📍 Current DOR openings available in: Novato, San Jose, Sonora, Stockton, and additional California markets. 🔎 Who Are These Opportunities Ideal For? Licensed Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) Therapy professionals with prior supervisory, team lead, assistant DOR, or DOR experience Clinicians seeking career advancement into full departmental leadership Candidates with experience in SNFs, ALFs, or senior care settings Leaders who thrive in interdisciplinary team environments 95-125K This role is specific to licensed therapy professionals overseeing rehabilitation operations. This is not a nursing, administrative, or medical assistant position.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP
- Experience as a DOR, Assistant DOR, therapy supervisor, or rehab team lead
- Ability to work full-time in one of the listed California markets
- Authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department
- Manage therapy staff schedules, productivity, and caseload assignments
- Ensure high-quality patient care delivery across PT/OT/SLP services
- Collaborate with administrators, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote regulatory compliance (state, federal, and facility standards)
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to staff
- Support clinical programming and service quality initiatives
- Track KPIs including outcomes, census, and department performance
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and staff development
