About The Position

As part of the Telecare family, the Riverside County Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is licensed as a 79-bed sub-acute residential program located in Riverside, CA. The program provides longer-term mental health recovery services 24/7/365 within a supportive, structured, and secure inpatient environment designed to help clients prepare to move to the community and/or lower levels of care. Full Time; AM 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, may require a weekend day and vary as needed; Monday - Friday Expected starting wage range is $72,000 - $80,487.11. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. $2,000 Sign on Bonus.

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. degree in Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Drama Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance Therapy, Art Therapy, or Vocational Counseling or related field.
• Registered as an Occupational Therapist, Music Therapist, Art Therapist, Dance Therapist or Rec Therapist from the state of operation.
• Two (2) years of experience working in the rehabilitation field within behavioral health.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment.
• Valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• M.S./M.A. in Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Drama Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance Therapy, Art Therapy, or Vocational Counseling or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders.
• Directs and oversees clinical and administrative functioning of Rehabilitation Services department, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Manages department budget.
• Maintains the activity schedule and works with other departments to integrate Rehabilitation Services in the facility schedule.
• Promotes and maintains effective relationships and communications within the department and other departments.
• Participates in company quality initiatives.
• Must assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training.
• Position requires transporting Members in program vehicle.
