About The Position

Position Summary The Director of Regulatory Filing is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of Medicare enrollment (PECOS), vendor regulatory documentation, and provider credentialing across the organization. This role owns the operational infrastructure that supports regulatory filings and external eligibility requirements, ensuring data integrity, audit readiness, and continuity of provider operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, standardization, and risk prevention—not policy authorship or survey defense.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Medicare enrollment, PECOS management, credentialing, or regulatory operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CMS enrollment filings and change-of-information updates.
  • Strong operational judgment and attention to regulatory detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospice, home health, infusion, or multi-site healthcare organizations.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience.
  • Experience supporting M&A enrollment transitions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Own all PECOS enrollment, revalidation, and change-of-information filings for providers and suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of: Ownership and control Managing employees Practice locations and service addresses Authorized and delegated officials
  • Track and manage revalidation cycles, CMS requests, and MAC correspondence.
  • Maintain centralized enrollment calendars, trackers, and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee regulatory documentation required for vendors and contractors, including: Credentialing and qualification verification Required attestations, disclosures, and certifications Regulatory eligibility documentation tied to federal and state programs
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Supply Chain to ensure vendors meet regulatory participation requirements.
  • Maintain vendor regulatory files and ensure documentation remains current and audit-ready.
  • Lead credentialing processes for employed and contracted clinicians, including: License verification Exclusion screening coordination Required certifications and enrollment alignment
  • Ensure credentialing data aligns with PECOS, state licensure, and payer enrollment records.
  • Track expirable and manage renewals to prevent lapses impacting billing or service delivery.
  • Establish standardized workflows, checklists, and internal controls for regulatory filings.
  • Conduct routine internal audits of PECOS, credentialing, and vendor files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for enrollment-related issues impacting billing or provider eligibility.
  • Lead and develop Regulatory Operations staff.
  • Partner with Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Legal, HR, and Operations to resolve enrollment and credentialing issues.
  • Support M&A activity by coordinating enrollment transitions, ownership updates, and credentialing integration.
