About The Position

The Director of Real Estate Development (DRED) at Rogerson Communities is responsible for overseeing real estate development projects from conception to completion, including project financing. This role involves evaluating new projects, managing funding commitments, and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission to provide affordable housing for seniors. The DRED will collaborate with various departments and senior management to identify growth opportunities and implement effective strategies for real estate development.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in real estate financing, transactions, project management, or construction management.
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, or Finance preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or additional relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Proficiency in historic, low-income housing tax credits and funding agencies is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate development principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Implement real estate development projects from initial conception through completion.
  • Evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs), NOFAs, and QAPs for affordable housing.
  • Draft development financial proformas and capital stacks for funding.
  • Analyze operating projections and financing plans.
  • Prepare financial analysis and recommendations for senior management.
  • Manage funding commitment, loan closing, and disbursement processes.
  • Maintain familiarity with federal, state, and local housing programs and policies.
  • Seek out and evaluate growth opportunities for Real Estate Development.
  • Work with the VP on conceptual planning for real estate development opportunities.
  • Perform project management duties as required.
