About The Position

Gifford Health Care is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Director of Quality to lead organization-wide quality initiatives across Gifford Health Care, Gifford Medical Center, and Gifford Retirement Community. This leadership role oversees the Quality Management program, including quality improvement, risk mitigation, infection prevention, credentialing, medical staff services, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness. The Director also serves as the organizational lead for FQHC 330 Grant operations and PCMH accreditation. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining Gifford's Quality Improvement program, ensuring that care, safety, and services meet or exceed regulatory standards. The Director works closely with clinical and administrative teams to drive performance improvement, enhance patient safety, and lead compliance efforts. They will supervise quality-related staff and coordinate responses to audits and regulatory surveys. Key duties include leading initiatives to improve patient outcomes, overseeing data collection and reporting, and providing education on quality and safety practices. The Director will also manage FQHC grant writing and reporting, lead operational site visits, and ensure NCQA PCMH readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (master's preferred).
  • Current clinical license (RN, MD, DO, etc.).
  • At least five years of healthcare quality leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in data analysis and improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
