Role and Responsibilities Direct a staff of up to 50 people including engineers, technicians, inspectors, engineers and administrative personnel. Hire staff and provide training. Develop and enforce quality systems to ensure compliance to consensus standards and customer requirements. Monitor and communicate measurement of quality-related metrics to senior staff and advocate for improvements. Communicate with customers regarding Quality compliance, complaints, audits, etc. Collaborate with Purchasing on monitoring and improving vendor performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency and drive a quality culture. Manage budget.
