About The Position

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a seasoned Quality Leader with strong hospital-based experience to help drive excellence in patient safety, regulatory readiness, and clinical outcomes. The Quality Director provides leadership and guidance in implementing activities, processes, and policies that ensure high-quality patient care aligned with system-wide clinical practices and standards. Collaborates closely with nursing staff, medical professionals, executive leadership, and the quality team to advance Baptist Health’s strategic goals for quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Supports initiatives that enhance patient safety, promote best practices, and align with the overall strategic plan of Baptist Health.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in a clinical discipline, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Master's in Nursing preferred.
  • Active Alabama nursing license preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in leading patient care and quality initiatives in a healthcare (hospital) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate corporate initiatives and expectations to all team members and physicians at the facility.
  • Work with medical, nursing, allied health/support services leadership and senior leadership to implement strategies focused on quality, safety, and service.
  • Collaborate with the performance improvement team.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities with various quality councils.
  • Oversee the hospital’s progress on quality score card and Board metrics.
  • Establish and maintain an open and positive working relationship with the medical staff, hospital leadership team, and other nursing and allied health/support services leaders.
  • Participate in the integration of healthcare technology and information management systems that support service needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to clinical care (TJC, AHCA) at the hospital level.
  • Develop a culture and practice environment that embraces quality and patient safety in compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Collaborate with the CQO to develop and implement the hospital level strategic plan for quality and safety.
  • Promote a satisfied, healthy work environment for the workforce by establishing a climate of growth, challenge, and development of all team members.
  • Organize and lead workgroups to achieve success with hospital quality metrics.
  • Assist the CQO and CFO in the development and management of the department budget.
  • Manage various human resources functions for assigned team members including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
