About The Position

The Director of Quality, EHS, and Compliance is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality and compliance standards. This role involves establishing and enforcing quality and EHS systems, leading the organizational quality and EHS functions, and ensuring that customer requirements and regulatory compliance are met. The director will build a compliant-focused culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • BS in Technical Field (MS Preferred)
  • Ten years progressive experience in a technical manufacturing environment
  • Five years' experience in manufacturing quality function
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Deep knowledge of quality systems, tools, and methodologies
  • Working knowledge of all Environmental Health and Safety regulations
  • Practical knowledge and leadership experience in Lean and/or six-sigma including lean management system experience (ie. Toyota Production System)
  • Experience managing teams and professional employees

Responsibilities

  • Set vision, develop, and execute strategies to meet and exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the EHS, Quality, and Compliance function.
  • Build out and manage the compliance roadmap for the organization.
  • Lead communications, actions, and drive decisions with risk relating to regulatory changes and the ability to remain compliant.
  • Establish and maintain the quality assurance system in accordance with current and future accreditations, and customer requirements.
  • Translate strategic policy deployment priorities into operational reality by aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing KPI measurement.
  • Support leadership team in creating & executing strategic breakthrough objectives, KPI's and action plans.
  • Optimize operational efficiency through commitment and building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize Fortive Business System (FBS) tools and champion continuous improvement initiatives in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Create an environment that inspires and motivates employees in achieving business goals and objectives, and for continuous improvement through best-in-class engagement metrics.
  • Be an assertive business partner that can confidently express concerns and constructive suggestions to ensure that standards are not compromised under pressure from stakeholders.
  • Develop, deploy, and execute operating and expense budgets.
  • Attract, develop, and retain qualified, talented people, creating and sustaining a high-performance culture and plan for succession.
  • Champion new product introduction (NPI) to ensure high quality, safe, and compliant products on-time.
  • Ensure global site compliance.
  • Accountable for development and management of required compliance procedures and training and risk management.
